Our Mission at the Mission

Thanking our essential farmworkers

Introduction

Our mission continues the work of our founder Bitten Falge. We procure and distribute food, clothing, and other essential items to individuals and families residing in traditional farmworker living quarters within the southern area of Monterey County.

We are funded solely by donations from parishioners and with generous support from local branches of the Order of Malta and the Knights of Columbus. Every dollar donated is used to enhance the lives of those who work so hard for all of us and struggle to make ends meet. We regularly distribute food, clothing, personal hygiene items, and other items essential for the adults and children living in these areas.

We Need Your Help!

Our monthly activities:

Our volunteers gather on the fourth Thursday of the month to procure, sort, pack, load, and deliver groceries to our Farmworker families. Each family receives essential pantry items and semi perishable goods to help with their grocery needs. We meet regularly with our recipients to learn what items they want the most and how best serve their needs.

Christmas activities:

Christmas is a special time of year for all of us. Our Falge volunteers work very hard to make this time special for our farmworker families as well. In addition to groceries, we distribute gifts and stuff animals to bring joy to the children living there. Click here for more information.

We would welcome your help!

There are many ways that you can help us; from procuring groceries, packing groceries, loading products in vehicles and delivering grocery bags to the farm labor camps. You can do as much, or as little as you desire. All are welcome in any capacity that you choose. we deliver groceries on the fourth Thursday of every month (except November and December).
