Pastor’s Weekly Message 10-14-18

Dear Friends of Carmel Mission,

The world is wounded and needs healing.

Our Catholic Church is wounded and needs healing.

The local parish is wounded needs healing.

Our families are wounded and need healing.

I am wounded and need healing.

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ spent much of his time during the three years of his public ministry, healing those who were sick.

He had to endure ridicule and rejection because he dared to heal people who were considered unworthy of healing – lepers, prostitutes, tax-collectors…

Sometimes we deny ourselves the opportunity to avail of the healing power of Christ.

We let our wounds fester inside us and we often indulge in self-pity.

Let’s stop trying to fool ourselves, and avail of the healing power of the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick.

Come and join your brothers and sisters in Christ as we gather in our beautiful Basilica on Wednesday, October 17th, at 7:00pm, as we receive healing where we most need it in our lives.

Please take a moment to read our weekly Parish Bulletin.
