Dear Friends of Carmel Mission,
I’m taking this opportunity to wish you a truly Happy Thanksgiving. Fr. Rodrigo joins with me in extending our great gratitude to you for your prayerful support and encouragement to us, your priests.
We are indeed truly blessed to minister in a parish where the Gospel message of Jesus Christ is not alone greeted with joy, but is also taken to heart and put into action by so many parishioners. This weekend we will hear an appeal from members of our Falge Farmworker Project. They will be asking for your assistance so that the children of our farmworkers in the Salinas Valley may have a special gift for Christmas from the Friends of Carmel Mission.
Blankets and imperishable food items will also be gratefully received by our Falge Team, and will be distributed among the farmworker families. This outreach is one of the ways that we offer thanks to those whose daily toil in our fields, produces such a bountiful harvest.
We give thanks to our loving God for your great generosity, which never fails to surprise us, and which enables our many ministries to reach out with a helping hand and a welcoming smile to those in need.
Our warmest wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving and our blessings of good health and great happiness to you and your loved ones.
