Pastor’s Weekly Message 2/25/18

Dear Friend of Carmel Mission,

I’m appealing for your assistance. Part of my responsibility as Pastor at the Mission, is to preserve and enhance the buildings here for future generations. We are currently upgrading Crespi Parish Hall, by installing a much-needed refitted kitchen and converting some storage space into office space. I don’t believe in borrowing from the bank for such a project, and thus we are solely using funds provided by generous people like yourself.

The money we received back from the Diocese through the Annual Ministries Appeal for the past two years has been the source of the funding to date. We are appealing to your generosity and your love for Carmel Mission as we commence our 2018 Annual Ministries Appeal.

It works in this way: we contribute $50,000 to help support Bishop Rich Garcia maintain and develop the many ministries which he shepherds so well throughout our Diocese.

Any funds in excess of $50,000 are returned to Carmel Mission. We would like you to help us raise a total of $100,000, so that the Mission will receive $50,000 to enable us to continue the improvements to Crespi Parish Hall.

Please pray about this Lenten appeal and carefully consider if you might be in a position to donate any amount, small or large, to help secure the future of our beautiful Mission. I have no doubt that God will reward you for your generosity. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I thank you in advance for your selfless stewardship and for caring so much about our beloved Carmel Mission.
