At this time, we are not conducting guided tours at the Mission.
Self guided tour maps will be provided.
Pilgrimage and Tour groups, which require a confirmed prepaid registration, are not permitted at this time due to the uncertainty of future conditions. Please contact us with any questions. We will take your contact information and contact you when we are able to book advanced reservations for your visit.
We are restricting group visits to households with a maximum of 5 people per group touring the grounds.

We look forward to welcoming your group for an inspiring visit to the Carmel Mission Basilica.
Your pilgrimage is a unique opportunity to experience the sacred space of St. Junípero Serra’s final resting place.
Pilgrim Visitation Times:
Groups are welcome Monday through Saturday throughout the year with some limited exceptions due to Holidays and Special Events.
All pilgrimage visits require a confirmed approval and a deposit in advance of a proposed visit.

We require every visiting group to have a mission chaperone.
Entrance to the Basilica and the Museum grounds are as follows:
$10.00 for Adults,
$7.00 for Seniors
$5.00 for Children 7 to 17.
Admission is free for children 6 and under.
A deposit is required to confirm your scheduled visit.
We invite you to attend our regularly scheduled service in our Blessed Sacrament Chapel at 12:00 noon Monday through Friday.
Mass: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Communion Service: Tuesday and Thursday

Pilgrimage Mass Service Request at Carmel Mission
If your group is accompanied by a Priest, who wishes to celebrate a mass with your group, the presider must contact and receive approval through our Pastor firstname.lastname@example.org. We require 21 days advance notice for groups requesting a presider.
The presider must request delegation and must have been approved by the Diocese of Monterey prior to the date of the pilgrimage and present credentials upon arrival at the Mission.
Please note that Masses must use the third edition of the Roman Missal in a vernacular language.
The general public must be welcomed to your service.
Donation Request for Celebrants
For those celebrating mass, a donation of $200.00 or more would be greatly appreciated to help support the costs associated with your pilgrimage and the general maintenance of the Mission. This donation is in addition to the admission fees.
