Preparation for Confirmation is a two-year process beginning in high school. Our Carmel Mission Parish uses the program CHOSEN – Your Journey toward Confirmation.  It engages students while exciting them about their faith. Click here to watch a free sample from the publisher. Each year, the group will complete 12 classes plus a retreat for a total of 13 sessions.

Each first and third Sunday, the students will participate in CHOSEN sessions in Mac Mahon Center from 4:00-5:30PM.  In addition to participating in the CHOSEN sessions each week, students will attend one retreat per year and participate in occasional Service Projects. Optional participation in the West Coast Walk for Life in January of each year is encouraged.  Transportation will be provided should students wish to attend as a group. 

Year One will meet in Mac Mahon Center from September – May on the first and third Sundays of each month. (meeting dates coming soon!)

The following year, in Year Two, the students will meet for the second twelve sessions, one retreat and will be confirmed in June. 

All students, public or Catholic school, prepare together for Confirmation.  Since all belong to the same parish, we hope to promote a sense of community within our class.  Thank you for encouraging this unity with your child.  We are all the Body of Christ.
