“How can we make the Bible and its stories relevant to middle-age school children? Encounter is more than a Bible Study. In it, Mark Hart reveals to them God, who is more than doctrine, but a loving father.” – Ascension Press
In the Fall semester, parents teach the First Reconciliation lessons at home. At the conclusion, the Faith Formation team provides an interactive Reconciliation Retreat for your child and one parent.
Various stations illustrate the web of sin, the loving and bountiful mercy of the Good Shepherd, and how His mercy washes away our sin when we confess in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Also, we play a Ten Commandments game for review and illustrate, with Fr. Paul, on how to go to Confession.
Interaction and preparation is the greatest influence on your child’s experience. This is a memorable time for families.
