At this time, we are not conducting guided tours at the Mission.

Self guided tour maps will be provided.

Pilgrimage and Tour groups, which require a confirmed prepaid registration, are not permitted at this time due to the uncertainty of future conditions. Please contact us with any questions. We will take your contact information and contact you when we are able to book advanced reservations for your visit.

We are restricting group visits to households with a maximum of 5 people per group touring the grounds.

Touring the Carmel Mission offers tours of the property which include the courtyards, Basilica, Indian Cemetery and Museums. We have a dedicated group of volunteers who have been trained to make not only of the Mission itself, but of the early years of California come to life. Because the history of California springs from the establishment of the Missions it is important to relate the two to paint the entire picture. Our Mission docents offer this blending to our visitors in accordance with the guidelines below:

Visiting hours:
Please note that the Carmel Mission grounds close 15 minutes before the Museum Store.

Every Day  10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

$10.00 for Adults,
$7.00 for Seniors
$5.00 for Children 7 to 17.
Admission is free for children 6 and under.
