Respectful Environment:
- The Carmel Mission is an active parish community. Please be mindful of ongoing services and maintain a prayerful atmosphere.
Limited Access:
- Please be aware that access to the Basilica and some grounds may be limited due to weddings, services, events, or restoration work. The Basilica is not accessible to visitors 30 minutes prior to services. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
Service Animals Only:
- Qualified service animals, such as guide dogs, are welcome. Pets of any other kind are not permitted on the Mission grounds.
Food & Drinks:
- To preserve the beauty of the Mission, please refrain from consuming food or drinks inside the buildings, on the grounds, or within the gift shop.
Safety:
- Please stay on the designated walkways to ensure the safety of yourself and others and to protect our historic landscape.
- Please refrain from climbing or standing on historic walls, arches, or fountains.
