Dear Friends of Carmel Mission,
I hope that you had a happy and Holy Easter. At Carmel Mission, we had a greater number of people join us for our Easter liturgies than in previous years. Some members of the Mission team had advised that we purchase 150 folding chairs to be used in anticipation of a large overflow attendance. As I usually do, I erred on the side of caution, and we only purchased 100! Not enough to cope with the crowds. I apologize if you were one of those left standing, and I promise to order more chairs!
The sun shone brightly on Easter Sunday morning as we celebrated the Resurrection of the Son of God. As always at Carmel Mission, the music and singing was superb and greatly assisted us in raising our minds and hearts to God. Did you know that you can purchase a cd featuring our beautiful choir and organistat our Museum Store? I highly recommend it.
During this Easter Season we are more aware of our personal call to share our light with others. We are asked to adopt an optimistic outlook on life. May we continue to move “Always Forward” with great hope in our hearts and more love in our lives.
