Preparation for Confirmation is a two-year process beginning in high school. Our Carmel Mission Parish uses the program CHOSEN – Your Journey toward Confirmation. It engages students while exciting them about their faith. Click here to watch a free sample from the publisher.
Each week, students, together with their families, will attend the 12:45 Sunday Mass. Afterward, they will participate in CHOSEN sessions from 2 to 4 PM. In addition to participating in the CHOSEN sessions each week, students attend one retreat per year and participate in occasional Service Projects.
Optional participation in the West Coast Walk for Life in January of each year is encouraged. Transportation will be provided should students wish to attend as a group.
Year One will meet in MacMahon Center From early January through April. (click here for meeting dates)
Year Two will meet in MacMahon Center From early September through December. (click here for meeting dates)
Each group will complete 12 classes plus a retreat for a total of 13 sessions. The Year Two group will be confirmed in January or February each year.
All students, public or Catholic school, prepare together for Confirmation. Since all belong to the same parish, we hope to promote a sense of community within our class. Thank you for encouraging this unity with your child. We are all the Body of Christ.
